The Leopard Cat (Prionailurus bengalensis) is downright beautiful. Their beautiful spotted coat makes them look like their larger leopard cousins but no need to fear these leopards unless you are a small bird or mouse. They are happy on the ground but are also excellent climbers. They eat small animals, eggs and sometimes even berries. They are most active at night and are silent on their padded paws as they roam through the forests and woodlands. They are a protected animal in Hong Kong as they are hunted for their fur. The domestic bengal cat is a close relative of the leopard cat. This cat can be found in the forested areas of Hong Kong.
